Does Purpose give life its direction, or are things always in a state of randomness?

Randomness is not completely the case, nor purpose. Perhaps you tried to bridle life's direction too much or pigeon hole it into one corner of a very complicated and murky room, a room without identifiable constraints. This is a very difficult question but perhaps this answer might be of service.

The surface of most things is the easiest layer to understand. Take this outermost layer to be randomness. To call everything random is an easy explanation for everything. People who subscribe completely to randomness say "It could have happened to anyone". This is true, it could happen to anyone, BUT, this should prompt the question, did it happen to that person for a reason? This does not refer to karma (for karma [although I do not know much about it] seems too immature a system ethics), but rather a less proactive form of physical retribution and more towards contemplation and foreword thinking. Life is random, but has direction if you choose. It is one's ability and responsibility to turn a series of random events into a lesson learned which ought direct your future. When one observes trends and learns lessons life begins to show purpose, for if nothing else, as a series of random events for others to learn from.

I hope that answered your question, if not, we can unpack this further.
Thank you and post again,
Joey

Hey guys,

How can I get past extrinsic motivators to become a more authentic leader?
