Slam Dunk

This past weekend was the NBA All-Star Weekend and one of my favorite events is the dunk competition. The dunk has evolved greatly over the past 40 years put perhaps the group of guys who developed the dunk most was the University of Houston's 1983 basketball team 'Phi Slama Jama'. This throwback is pretty old and before most of your time (myself included), but thanks to the miracle of EA's game 'NCAA March Madness 06', I am able to understand their dominance. These guys were the penultimate contributors to the dunk, second only to Dr. J. Here were a few guys from their line up:

Hakeem "Dream" Olajuwon (AKA Akeem "Jelly" Olajuwon)
Benny "Bomber from Bernice" Anders
Clyde "Glide" Drexler

Here is a throwback video of these guys at work.
